"As a neighborhood leader I worked with Mark while he was a planning commissioner and city councilman. When a large development was to be built adjacent to our neighborhood he helped us understand the governmental process and listened to what the neighbors felt was the best use for the vacant land. With Mark’s support we now have an area that incorporates 31 single family homes, a park, bike trail and 51 acres of natural area including wetlands. Over the past 13 years I have seen Mark work tirelessly as a public servant. I believe he will continue to represent the interests of the residents of the 69th District striving to use government to improve our quality of life."
Susan Schmidt, Former President, East Lansing Board of Education
